In addition to GP consultations the practice offers a range of specialist clinics and healthcaelderley_BP_checkre services:

Chronic Disease Management

Regular monitoring for the following long-term conditions, helping you to understand your condition and stay as healthy as possible:

  • Diabetes
  • Hypertension
  • Coronary Heart Disease
  • Asthma/ Chronic Chest Conditions

Other Services

Health Check – offered to all new patients when joining the practice; we suggest you attend for review at least 3 yearly, even if you feel well.

Heart Disease Prevention – heart disease is the commonest cause of death in the UK. People found to have a higher risk for developing heart disease - appropriate action (quit smoking, BP control, exercise, low fat diet, cholesterol reduction) can reduce risk helping prevent both heart disease and stroke.

Giving up Smoking? – Advice, help and support available including progress review.

Cervical Smears – screening for early cell changes from the age of 25 to 64 at 3 yearly (25-49); at 5 yearly intervals (50-64).

Contraception/Family Planning Service We provide all recommended forms of birth control, childimmunise(except coil-fitting). Couples planning to start a family are encouraged to attend for a check-up and advice.

Childhood Immunisations

Annual Flu Vaccination

Travel Advice/ Immunisation (based on World Health Guidelines for travellers).

Minor Surgery – including joint injections, wart freezing and the removal of small skin cysts.

Please note, If you are not a regular user of our service, the practice offers 3 year consultations for patients aged 16 and 74 years. If you are 75 years or over and have not seen one of our clinicians for a year, you can request an annual consultation.
